Alirocumab (Genetical Recombination)



Alirocumab is a recombinant human IgG1 monoclonal antibody against human proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9). Alirocumab is produced in Chinese hamster ovary cells. Alirocumab is a glycoprotein (molecular weight: ca. 149,000) composed of 2 H-chains (γ1-chains) consisting of 448 amino acid residues each and 2 L-chains (κ-chains) consisting of 220 amino acid residues each.
