Efraloctocog Alfa (Genetical Recombination)
Efraloctocog Alfa is a recombinant Fc-human blood coagulation factor VIII (FVIII) fusion glycoprotein (molecular weight: ca. 225,000) composed of an A-chain consisting of 754 amino acid residues, a B-chain consisting of 911amino acid residues, and a C-chain consisting of 227 amino acid residues. The A-chain and amino acids at positions 1 – 684 of the B-chain correspond to amino acids at positions 1 – 743 and 1638 – 1648, and amino acids at positions 1649 – 2332 of FVIII, respectively. Amino acids at positions 685 – 911 of the B-chain and the C-chain correspond to Fc domain of human IgG1. Efraloctocog Alfa is produced in human embryonic kidney cells.
