Efzimfotase Alfa (Genetical Recombination)
Efzimfotase alfa is a recombinant fusion glycoprotein composed of a catalytic domain of human tissue non-specific alkaline phosphatase at position 1-491, a hinge region from human IgG2 at positions 492-498, a CH2 region from human IgG2 at 499-607 and a CH3 region from human IgG4 at 608-714, in which 5 amino acid residues are deleted at a position (ERKCC491-492del), the amino acid residues are substituted at 9 positions (E108M, N213Q, N286Q, H535Q, F567Y, V576L,A597S, P598S, T606A), and 10 aspartic acid residues are added at the C terminus. Efzimfotase alfa is produced in CHO cells. Efzimfotase alfa is a glycoprotein (molecular weight: ca. 177,000) composed of 2 subunits consisting of 724 amino acid residues each.
