Elapegademase (Genetical Recombination)
Elapegademase is a recombinant bovine adenosine deaminase analogue in which Cys74 is substituted by Ser, to which an average of approximately 13 methoxy polyethylene glycol polymers (molecular weight: ca. 5,600) per mole of protein are bound via carbonyl groups (potential pegylation sites: Ala1 and Lys residues). Elapegademase is a pegylated protein (molecular weight: ca. 115,000) consisting of 356 amino acid residues.
