Epoetin Alfa (Genetical Recombination) is an aqueous solution in which a desired product is a recombinant human erythropoietin produced in Chinese hamster ovary cells. It is a glycoprotein (molecular mass: ca. 37,000 to 42,000) consisting of 165 amino acid residues.
It contains not less than 1.1 mg and not more than 1.5 mg of protein per mL, and not less than 1.5 × 105 units per mg of protein.
