Evolocumab (Genetical Recombination)



Evolocumab is a recombinant human IgG2 monoclonal antibody against human proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9). Evolocumab is produced in Chinese hamster ovary cells. Evolocumab is a glycoprotein (molecular weight: ca. 144,000) composed of 2 H-chains (γ2-chains) consisting of 441 amino acid residues each and 2 L-chains (λ-chains) consisting of 215 amino acid residues each.
