Tabalumab (Genetical Recombination)
Tabalumab is a recombinant human IgG4 monoclonal antibody against the human B cell activating factor belonging to the tumor necrosis factor family (BAFF), whose amino acid residue at position 231 in the H-chain is substituted by Pro. Tabalumab is produced in Chinese hamster ovary cells. Tabalumab is a glycoprotein (molecular weight: ca. 149,000) composed of 2 H-chains (γ4-chains) consisting of 450 amino acid residues each and 2 L-chains (κ-chains) consisting of 214 amino acid residues each.
