エプロンテルセンナトリウムは，トランスサイレチン（TTR）mRNA前駆体の一部に相補的な配列を有するRNA分解型（ギャップマー型）アンチセンスオリゴヌクレオチドのナトリウム塩であり，5’末端に3つのGalNAcを含むリガンド部が結合している．エプロンテルセンナトリウムは，化学修飾された20個のヌクレオチド残基からなる1本鎖オリゴヌクレオチドである．

Eplontersen Sodium is a sodium salt of a gapmer antisense oligonucleotide inducing target RNA degradation, whose sequence is complementary to a part of transthyretin (TTR) pre-mRNA covalently linked to a ligand moiety containing three GalNAc at the 5’ end. Eplontersen Sodium is an oligonucleotide consisting of chemically modified 20 nucleotide residues.
