ニボルマブは，ヒトPD-1 に対する遺伝子組換えヒトIgG4 モノクローナル抗体であり，H 鎖221 番目のアミノ酸残基がPro に置換されている．ニボルマブは，チャイニーズハムスター卵巣細胞により産生される．ニボルマブは，440 個のアミノ酸残基からなるH鎖（γ4鎖）2 本及び214 個のアミノ酸残基からなるL 鎖（κ鎖）2 本で構成される糖タンパク質（分子量：約145,000）である．

Nivolumab is a recombinant human IgG4 monoclonal antibody against human PD-1, whose amino acid residue at position 221 in the H-chain is substituted by Pro. Nivolumab is produced in Chinese hamster ovary cells. Nivolumab is a glycoprotein (molecular weight: ca.145,000) composed of 2 H-chains (γ4-chains) consisting of 440 amino acid residues each and 2 L-chains (κ-chains) consisting of 214 amino acid residues each.
