セミプリマブは，遺伝子組換え抗ヒトPD-1モノクローナル抗体で，ヒトIgG4に由来し，H鎖の225番目のアミノ酸残基がProに置換されている．セミプリマブは，チャイニーズハムスター卵巣細胞により産生される．セミプリマブは，444個のアミノ酸残基からなるH鎖（γ4鎖）2本及び214個のアミノ酸残基からなるL鎖（κ鎖）2本で構成される糖タンパク質（分子量：約147,000）である．

Cemiplimab is a recombinant anti-human PD-1 monoclonal antibody derived from human IgG4, whose amino acid residue at position 225 is substituted by Pro in the H-chain. Cemiplimab is produced in Chinese hamster ovary cells. Cemiplimab is a glycoprotein (molecular weight: ca. 147,000) composed of 2 H-chains (γ4-chains) consisting of 444 amino acid residues each and 2 L-chains (κ-chains) consisting of 214 amino acid residues each.
